October is right around the corner, and with it comes the NATA membership renewal season. This year’s campaign theme, “Beyond With NATA,” highlights how membership empowers you to achieve your goals, advance your career, build connections with peers and stay current through exclusive member resources.
As the NATA Career Center statistics reveal in the December NATA News, this member-only benefit celebrates a stellar year as a valuable online venue for NATA members to find jobs, having operated for over 10 years.
“If you’re looking for another resource for athletic training news and updates, this show is for you,” said NATA Internal Marketing Coordinator Tracy White, producer of “The NATA-Cast,” in the opening line of the new podcast’s preview.
In October, NATA premiered “The NATA-Cast,” its official podcast, which provides in-depth conversations about health care topics that interest athletic trainers.
Since 2005, the NATA Political Action Committee (NATAPAC) has been the voice of the athletic training profession, seeking better working conditions, fair access and the right to practice for all athletic trainers across America.
As the end of the year approaches, be sure to renew your NATA membership by Dec. 31 to retain your member status and membership benefits.
The November and December NATA News highlight NATA’s many advocacy efforts, including the work being done to increase the public’s understanding of the athletic training profession through media relations and strategic partnerships.
The efforts to increase professional recognition of athletic training services by insurance companies for reimbursement are ongoing, and NATA’s Third Party Reimbursement Initiative (TPRI) works continuously to build awareness, especially at the state level.
As health care providers, athletic trainers are looked to as leaders by their patients, coworkers and communities. But, leadership is not always a natural skill and can take time to develop. NATA ensures members have the opportunities to grow as leaders and develop those skills through educational courses and programming in the NATA Leadership Academy.
Connection is an important part of the athletic training profession, and NATA understands that. To better provide members with the resources they need, NATA has facilitated a multitude of opportunities for members to grow their network, land a job and foster a real connection with other ATs in the community.
