Athletic trainers in the rehabilitation clinic: a vital member of the health care team
Athletic trainers are routinely employed in outpatient rehabilitation clinics to evaluate and manage health conditions in a variety of physically active populations. ATs working in this setting improve productivity, patient outcomes and satisfaction. They help patients move more effectively and efficiently to reach their physical activity goals whether it be a return to work or return to play. The skills of an athletic trainer on the rehabilitation team enhance and improve the overall services of the outpatient rehabilitation clinic.
