NATA is bringing back Capitol Hill Day, which will take place with the accompanying Policy Summit March 30-31 in Washington, D.C. Registration is open through March 6.

A popular event among members, Capitol Hill Day is an opportunity for NATA to bring together athletic trainers from around the country to meet with congressional staff and advocate on behalf of the profession.

Prior to the start of the 2026 NATA Joint Committee Meeting Jan. 31 in Dallas, the NATA Presidential Nomination Committee convened to select the final two candidates for NATA’s next president. The final two candidates are David Gallegos, MA, ATC, Cert. MDT, and Rob Marshall, LAT, ATC.

In honor of Black History Month in February, NATA Now, in collaboration with the NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee, is highlighting some of our Black leaders making an impact at the state, district and national levels.

As your source of lifelong learning, NATA EducATe provides users with an extensive educational library, a customizable experience, the ability to interact with peers and more.

New courses are constantly being added to the platform to ensure you have the knowledge needed to stay up to date in your practice – as well as earn CEUs. 

Every day, NATA is working on behalf of the athletic training profession. With staff members experienced in all aspects of the legislative and regulatory process, the NATA Government Affairs Department is the sole department focused on advocacy for the profession. NATA’s goal is to ensure that all ATs can work to the fullest extent of their education and skill set.

Registration is open now through Feb. 6 for the June-to-June cohort of the new NATA Leadership Institute, a cohort-based program designed to intentionally develop leadership skills for athletic trainers across all practice settings.

UPDATE: On Jan. 30, the Department of Education posted the proposed rule "Reimagining and Improving Student Education." The comment period for the proposal is currently open and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST March 2.
