Utilizing Force Plates as Objective Functional Data for Rehabilitation, Monitoring and Readiness Decisions

Sports performance technology, specifically force plates, has progressed in its measurement of athletes’ biometric data related to load, strength and limb force production. Current research reports the performance-based assessments of reactive strength and neuromuscular capacity, measured indirectly using force places. This course will introduce the current evidence, performance variables and tests utilized during force plate evaluations and how data can inform rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions. Further, this course will present techniques to monitor athlete readiness and performance to determine appropriate load and recovery recommendations. This technology will enhance the functional objective evaluation of recovering athletes’ progression and return in sports.
