With staff members experienced in all aspects of the legislative and regulatory process, the NATA Government Affairs Department is the sole department focused on advocacy for the profession. NATA’s goal is to ensure that all ATs can work to the fullest extent of their education and skill set.

Membership 2026: Growing Professionally, Personally

Midge Peterson, MS, LAT, ATC, didn’t know what she wanted to do with her life when she graduated high school. She attended college for a bit but ended up working her way through the ranks in a restaurant. 

“I realized that’s not what I wanted to do with my life,” she said.

In his third year of certification, Moncada is already aiming for leadership, expressing a desire to one day take on the role of NATA president.
