NATA 2026: Learning You Can Use Right Away
During the 77th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 29-July 2 in Philadelphia, attendees will acquire practical skills they can apply immediately through numerous hands-on learning opportunities.
Register through March 31 for early registration rates.
NATA Convention Program Committee Chair Kevin Miller, PhD, ATC, FNATA, said learning from top presenters and staying informed on the newest research helps athletic trainers deliver the most up-to-date, high-quality care to their patients.
“[NATA 2026] brings together the largest group of athletic training scientists and clinicians from all over the country,” Miller said. “These [educational sessions] ensure an interactive and hands-on learning experience that guarantees attendees leave convention with something tangible that they can implement in their clinical practice right away.”
This focus on interactive, applicable learning is especially central to the preconvention Blended Advanced Tracks and Blended Learning Labs, both of which have a May 31 registration deadline.
Blended Advanced Tracks
Blended Advanced Tracks are in-depth educational opportunities that combine the flexibility of asynchronous online learning with the hands-on engagement of in-person education, offering attendees the best of both worlds. Each Blended Advanced Track provides an additional 6 CEUs, including two hours of asynchronous coursework that must be completed online prior to convention and a four-hour hands-on lab.
Blended Advanced Tracks cost $175 through May 1 and $200 May 2-31. The following are the Blended Advanced Tracks available for NATA 2026 attendees:
“Movement Matters: Applied 2D Kinematics for Injury Risk Assessment and Intervention”
“Assessment, Treatment and Orthotic Intervention for the Management of Lower Extremity Sports-Related Injuries”
Blended Learning Labs
This year, more than 30 Learning Labs and Blended Learning Labs will be held throughout NATA 2026. While they both feature a combination of lecture and hands-on learning, Blended Learning Labs include one hour of asynchronous online learning, at the end of which attendees will earn 1 CEU.
In this model, attendees arrive prepared to explore new ideas, engage in meaningful discussion and work through real-world health care challenges alongside their peers.
From their convention learning experience, NATA 2026 attendees can go home with skills such as:
Adaptive techniques for reducing burnout and enhancing professional growth
How to create an educational plan for non-medical personnel
Methods used to interpret relationships among sleep scores, HRV trends, menstrual-phase data and force-plate readiness metrics.
Blended Learning Labs cost $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required. The Blended Learning Labs offered during NATA 2026 are:
“Creating Master Adaptive Athletic Trainers: Using Coaching to Foster Self-Regulation and Mitigate Burnout”
“NFL to Friday Night Lights: Building a Concussion Identification System Into Your Game Day Protocols”
“Utilizing Repeated Motions Assessment and Cluster Tests to Improve Your Examination of Cervical Spine Disorders”
“Fueling Readiness & Recovery: Integrating Sleep, HRV, Menstrual Cycle and Force-Plate Readiness Tracking in Female Collegiate Athletes”
