Convention Update

April 14, 2020 by Todd Christman

The NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo is the premier educational event for athletic trainers and other sports medicine professionals. The current climate presents the event industry, as a whole, with unprecedented challenges and considerations, the most important of which for NATA is the overall safety and well-being of our members.

Like many organizations, our association is also wading through uncharted territory related to COVID-19. As we navigate through this unpredictable pandemic, our focus remains on serving the needs of our members, the safety and well-being of all involved and what is optimal for the association and advancement of the profession.

As it relates to the NATA convention, we continue to be in close communication with representatives in Atlanta, and our focus remains on mindful analysis of recommendations from local and state authorities (e.g., city of Atlanta and Georgia) and national and global health protection organizations, such as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. You can rest assured that we are thoroughly assessing and monitoring this evolving situation.

As a reminder, members who have registered for the convention will have an opportunity to reassess their plans as the event nears. Stay tuned to NATA’s multiple communication channels for further updates.
