With the growing trend of ATs integrating into physician practices, ATs have continually sought to describe their value relative to quality of clinical skills, efficiency, financial impact, physician satisfaction and, to a lesser extent, patient experience. As national trends in health care place an emphasis on quality of care over quantity, patient experience is becoming a popular topic of conversations across organizations. The intent of this webinar is to explore the impact of the AT on care from the perspective of the patient.
The efforts of the athletic training team at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) have facilitated growth from two to nine full time positions in the physician practice over the past five years. This impact has led not only to the creation of more athletic training jobs, but to the creation of best practices that raise the bar on expectations relative to care and experience across the Orthopedic Service Line.
Through the sharing of lessons learned from the CHW athletic training team during this period of positive change and growth, ATs will understand the value they bring in ensuring that communities they serve get the best care possible.
