With National Athletic Training Month officially kicking off March 1, you might be looking for ways to celebrate the profession and shine a light on athletic training's “Champions in Health Care.”
Whether you’ve got five minutes or five hours to devote to your efforts, NATA is here to help. Each week in March, NATA Now will highlight three NATM celebration tips, ranging in time needed to accomplish. We will also highlight the resources you can use as you shout out your peers and increase the public’s understanding of the athletic training profession.

Got Five Minutes? Use the Hashtag #NATM2025
Spread the NATM spirit wherever you are on social media. Whether it’s Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok or wherever you connect virtually, you can celebrate by using the hashtag #NATM2025 in your posts. You can also use NATA’s social media materials found on the NATM webpage.
Have a Bit More Time? Connect on Gather
Gather is a NATA’s online community, where members can connect with peers and share their voices on profession-related matters. It also provides an avenue for mentorship, volunteer opportunities and student clinical immersion. Celebrate your profession this NATM with your peers on Gather. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
- Log into Gather with your NATA log-in information.
- Visit the “The Den” on the top menu of the page.
- Add your NATM celebration posts.
Have Even More Time? Promote the Profession in the News
Reach out to your local newspaper to share the importance of athletic training in an opinion article or letter to the editor. Additionally, if you have an AT you would like to celebrate, take out an ad or work with your organization to place a feature story. An example of this is the Oklahoma State University article “National Athletic Training Month Highlights Crucial Role in Student Athlete Safety and Health,” promoting the impact of athletic training roles on performance. NATA’s Recipe for A Successful Press Story is also a valuable resource for you.
