Since the NATA restructure was announced in November 2024, staff has been evaluating projects, initiatives and workload to ensure the national office is still meeting the members’ needs as we right-size.
As a result of this evaluation process, the NATA Marketing & Communications Department has made the decision to take NATA News from a monthly publication to a bimonthly publication.
As a new feature added to NATA News in 2022, Meet the Member highlights NATA members who are positively advancing the athletic training profession. This month, NATA celebrates the feature’s one-year anniversary.

Connection is an important part of the athletic training profession, and NATA understands that. To better provide members with the resources they need, NATA has facilitated a multitude of opportunities for members to grow their network, land a job and foster a real connection with other ATs in the community.

In June, NATA welcomed two new board members: Scott Galloway, MBA, LAT, ATC, representing District Six, and Donna Wesley, MS, LAT, ATC, representing District Nine. In the July NATA News, Galloway and Wesley discuss their goals as new board members. Below they share insight into their athletic training journeys and the importance of volunteerism.
In the February NATA News, the monthly Built for This article, which highlights the domains of athletic training, featured two ATs who sprang into action during emergencies to save lives (read more on p. 20 of the issue). Thanks to Domain Three, immediate and emergency care, ATs are able to face lifesaving situations at a moment’s notice.
In the December NATA News, our annual report, we look back at what has taken place at NATA and within the athletic training profession in 2020. While this has been an unprecedented year, NATA is thankful for the support we’ve received from our dedicated members, collaborators and contributors, including our sponsors.
