With May being Mental Health Month, now is a great time to revisit NATA’s many mental health-related resources. The Mental Health section of the website features a bevy of related resources, from position and consensus statements to articles and guidelines. In addition, NATA has created several infographic handouts that examine various aspects of mental health, including:
- Mental Health: Published in the May 2016 NATA News, this infographic handout details the signs and symptoms of mental health-related concerns as well as athlete burnout.
- Sleep: This infographic handout, which originally ran in the April 2017 NATA News, examines the role sleep plays in cognitive performance, physical health and mental health.
- Suicide Awareness: Published in the July 2017 NATA News, this infographic handout discusses the signs to look for and how to help someone suspected of having suicidal thoughts.
- Stress: The latest mental health-related infographic, published in the May 2018 NATA News, this handout focuses on what to do when stress becomes too much and includes self-care tips.
