Looking to improve your professional and legislative advocacy tactics? This series is for you. The NATA Government Affairs Committee will present a series of three interactive events where attendees will learn and practice the basics of legislative and professional advocacy. Events will be held at 2 p.m. CDT on the first Wednesday in September, October and November.

Legislators Demystified: Communicating AT Value

The 2021 NATA Virtual Clinical Symposia & AT Expo is far from over. The on-demand educational programming is available to attendees through Sept. 30, providing an extended time for athletic trainers to learn and earn CEUs.

Athletic trainers are put in emergency situations that call for fast thinking. ATs are built to respond to emergencies, and one of the VNATA 2021 theme’s, emergency preparedness and response, ensures ATs are equipped with the information they need to provide the best health care possible.

Ergogenic aids, from doping to energy enhancements, have been an important discussion over recent years. VNATA 2021 ensures ATs are up to date on the latest information and research when it comes to these enhancements and supplements.

The VNATA 2021 platform allows users to search and filter on-demand content to ensure an easier approach to finding the sessions they’re looking for. Over the next few weeks, NATA will highlight VNATA 2021 sessions that cover some trending topics in athletic training.

The July NATA News focuses on the different aspects of athletic training entrepreneurship, which can include how to manage time. An entrepreneur’s schedule can be unpredictable, as can an athletic trainer’s, but seeing how one AT entrepreneur makes it work week by week is a great example of how to make it work. 

The Athletic Training Education Journal (ATEJ) is seeking applications from qualified individuals to serve on the Editorial Board and begin service in fall 2021. The term of appointment is three years and may be renewed with agreement from the Editor-in-Chief and the Senior Editorial Leadership Team.
