Pin Collectors Meet at NATA 2025
An NATA 75th anniversary special event, hosted by the NATA Historical Commission, brought together pin collecting enthusiasts during the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando.
More than 30 athletic trainers and athletic training students attended the NATA Pin Collectors' Meet and Greet, organized by Historical Commission member Jeff Stone, MEd, LAT, ATC, an NATA Hall of Fame Class of 2012 member, to exchange and trade pins and patches.

Opportunities To Give Back at NATA 2022
At the 73rd NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo, attendees will get to participate in one or more of the philanthropic initiatives taking place virtually and on-site. While the NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee (EDAC) is hosting its annual community service event June 28, introducing the profession to school-age children, the National Basketball Athletic Trainers’ Association Gary Vitti Virtual Blood Drive and Be The Match Virtual Bone Marrow Drive will run from June 28 to Oct. 31.

The AT Expo is back and packed with a select group of best-in-class vendors, providing attendees with long-awaited career-enhancing opportunities to bolster their athletic training profession. Taking place June 29 to July 1 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Hall C, during the 73rd NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo in Philadelphia, it is the world’s largest showcase of products and services for the athletic training profession.

2022 WFATT World Congress Recap
The World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy (WFATT) held the XI World Congress from May 5-7. The World Congress was hosted by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) and the Manitoba Athletic Therapists Association (MATA) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Timely Topic Tackles Inclusion in Sports
To celebrate Pride Month, the NATA LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee, in conjunction with Gatorade Performance Partner, will host an NATA Timely Topics Series event titled, “The AT and Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusion in Sports,” from 2 to 3:30 p.m. CDT June 16.
Co-Chair Discusses Sports Science
During the Professional Football Athletic Trainers’ Society (PFATS) annual meeting and education program, held before the NFL Combine this March in Indianapolis, NATA Sports Science and Data Analytics Task Force Co-Chair Mark Coberley, MS, ATC, LAT, presented to the group about sports science, how it’s impacting and changing the athletic training profession and NATA’s related initiatives.
2022 Quiz Bowl Teams
The NATA Quiz Bowl returns this year as an in-person event, now with 11 teams competing after the inclusion of the team from District Eleven. You can see the students who will be competing for each district below. Scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on June 30 at the convention, the Quiz Bowl is now in its thirteenth year. More than bragging rights will be on the line as the winning team receives $1,000 toward the school’s athletic training program or club. The second and third place teams will receive $500 and $250 respectively.
