Pin Collectors Meet at NATA 2025

An NATA 75th anniversary special event, hosted by the NATA Historical Commission,  brought together pin collecting enthusiasts during the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando. 

More than 30 athletic trainers and athletic training students attended the NATA Pin Collectors' Meet and Greet, organized by Historical Commission member Jeff Stone, MEd, LAT, ATC, an NATA Hall of Fame Class of 2012 member, to exchange and trade pins and patches.

New Study: Teens Report Higher Use of Steroids, Synthetic Human Growth Hormone


A new survey released by the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids suggested that teen reports of performance enhancing drugs have more than doubled in the last year. Sponsored by the MetLife Foundation, the study reported that 11 percent of teens who were surveyed said they'd ever used steroids or synthetic human growth hormone without a prescription - a huge increase from the 5 percent in 2012.

Save the Date: ATEC 2015

Mark your calendars! The 2015 Athletic Training Educator’s Conference (ATEC), the premier conference for educators, program directors, preceptors and clinical coordinators, is Feb. 27-March 1 in Dallas. ATEC provides its attendees with a unique and well-rounded experience by offering different model practice sessions, breakouts, peer to peer and plenary sessions.

Although we are still working to educate the public about the value and contributions of athletic trainers, it’s always exciting to see the news media present stories that highlight the lives and accomplishments of ATs. Support AT Legislation by Sending in Your Postcards

NATA collected nearly 2,000 postcards from athletic trainers demonstrating their support for S. Res 372, the Secondary School Student Athletes’ Bill of Rights, during the convention in Indianapolis, all of which will be distributed to their respective U.S. Senators by NATA’s lobbying team in Washington, D.C.

2014 Hall of Fame Inductee Videos

One of the highlights of J&J Day every year at the convention is the NATA Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This is the time we celebrate the newest inductees of the Hall of Fame in front of thousands of attendees as well as members of their families. In addition to giving a speech of their own, tribute is paid to each inductee in the form of video interviews with significant individuals from their professional lives.
