Every day, NATA and the NATA Government Affairs Department are working on behalf of the athletic training profession. With staff members experienced in all aspects of the legislative process, the NATA Government Affairs Department is the sole department focused on advocacy for the profession. NATA’s goal is to ensure that all ATs can work to the fullest extent of their education and skill set.

The NCAA Sports Science Institute recently produced “Substance Abuse Prevention and Intervention: An Athletics Tool Kit.” This new resource is supported and endorsed by NATA.

The NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee (EDAC) invites candidates to apply to be the EDAC graduate representative to fulfill a one-year term (renewable once). Keynote Celebrates the Health Care Team
Dr. Zubin Damania felt a call to medicine—as well as a call to the standup stage. The doctor-comedian, known as ZDoggMD, shared his laugh-inducing journey from frustrated internist to YouTube sensation and proponent of “Health 3.0” during the 2017 NATA Keynote sponsored by Cramer Wednesday, June 28, in the George R. Brown Convention Center.
