Pin Collectors Meet at NATA 2025
An NATA 75th anniversary special event, hosted by the NATA Historical Commission, brought together pin collecting enthusiasts during the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando.
More than 30 athletic trainers and athletic training students attended the NATA Pin Collectors' Meet and Greet, organized by Historical Commission member Jeff Stone, MEd, LAT, ATC, an NATA Hall of Fame Class of 2012 member, to exchange and trade pins and patches.
Documentation Guidelines Now Available
As athletic trainers continue to gain recognition and credibility in the health care arena, new standards are being placed on those in the profession—one such being documentation.

10 for 10: A Timesaving Resource
As part of NCAA requirements and athletic training best practices, athletic trainers in the collegiate setting are tasked with giving educational presentations to their coaching staff and administration on important health and safety issues, such as heat illness, concussions, drug testing and inclement weather.
ATs Care Offers New Resource
In the August/September NATA News, the NATA 2017 recap issue, we took a closer look at the “Assisting Individuals in Crisis” course held June 25-26 by NATA’s ATs Care Committee. During the two-day course, attendees learned about Critical Incident Stress Management, created by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and what they can do to help their fellow ATs build resiliency to stress.

College Pre-Season Resources

Research has shown that 2-3 times more injuries occur during preseason practice than in the regular season of play. This increased risk is due to a number of factors - from student athletes reporting for practice after a sustained period of reduced physical activity to players suiting up without proper acclimatization to the extreme heat found in some parts of the country.
EDAC Seeks Graduate Student Rep
The NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee (EDAC) invites candidates to apply to be the EDAC graduate representative to fulfill a one-year term (renewable once). EDAC strives to identify and address issues relevant to our ethnically diverse community, both in the health care arena and in the National Athletic Trainers' Association. We also strive to promote diversity in our membership and leadership.
