Insight Into NATA’s Presidential Election Update
This August, the NATA Board of Directors approved a series of bylaw updates. This included an update to who is eligible to run for president of the association. The new bylaw states:

Sports, Health Care Leaders Champion Title IX
The impact of Title IX, now 50 years since its historic passing, goes beyond the young women in sports who it was enacted to support. The “Championing Title IX and Women in Health Care” event at the 73rd NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo proved Title IX’s far-reaching influence as 12 representatives from leading sports and health care associations convened to discuss 50 years of progress and where we go from here.

Board Welcomes New Directors
At the 73rd NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo, three new district directors will join the NATA Board of Directors. Ray Davis Jr., MSS, LAT, ATC, will represent District Three, Kasee Hildenbrand, PhD, LAT, ATC, will represent District Ten and representing District Eleven is Ryan Wilkinson, EdD, LAT, ATC.

While the NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee (EDAC) is hosting its annual community service event June 28, introducing the profession to school-age children, the National Basketball Athletic Trainers’ Association Gary Vitti Virtual Blood Drive and Be The Match Virtual Bone Marrow Drive will run from June 28 to Oct. 31.
