Exploring the AT Expo
During the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando, convention attendees connected with more than 245 exhibitors in the exhibit hall of the Orange County Convention Center. The AT Expo was an opportunity for ATs to browse from the largest showcase of products and services for the athletic training profession. Sleep Handout Now Available
Sleep is essential to health and function, playing a major role in cognitive performance, physical health and mental health. However, it seems like most people have trouble getting enough sleep. Studies show that one-third of college-aged student athletes get fewer than seven hours of sleep per night—and that rate is even higher among female athletes. To help educate parents, athletes and coaches about the important role sleep plays, NATA created a sleep infographic handout, which was featured in the April NATA News.

The Journal of Athletic Training (JAT) Editor-in-Chief (EIC) position becomes available in June 2018. The term of appointment is two years and can be renewed twice, with agreement between the EIC and NATA, for a total of six years of service. The term begins in June 2018. However, the candidate must be able to begin work with the current JAT EIC and Journal Committee (JC) starting in June 2017.
Skin Injury Handout Available
The March NATA News features a skin injury infographic handout based on the new NATA position statement “Management of Acute Skin Trauma.” The handout details the proper way to clean and dress a wound and provides tips for after care and follow-up.
