Although a variety of topics will be presented and discussed during NATA 2025, CPC has developed programming that highlights the following themes, selected for their relevance to the profession and impact on the membership:

  • Innovations in Risk Reduction: This theme focuses on innovative approaches and technological advancements that are reshaping how we prevent and minimize injury risk.
  • Advances in Soft Tissue Injury Management: This theme focuses on exploring cutting-edge strategies for diagnosing and treating soft tissue injuries.

THE LEARNING FORMATS

NATA 2025 was designed to inspire, educate and empower attendees. Convention programming features the latest innovations, expert-led sessions and a variety of learning formats tailored to meet your professional development needs.

In-person attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of learning formats, such as Blended Advanced Tracks, Lectures, Interactive Lectures, Forums, Learning Labs, Blended Learning Labs and the NATA Research & Education Free Communications Program.

Here’s what to know about this year’s learning formats:

  • New! Tracks: For the first time, the NATA convention will feature tracks. A track is a series of sessions grouped together based on a specific topic or area of interest. Tracks are designed to help attendees find content related to a particular subject, allowing them to follow a specific interest throughout the NATA convention. NATA 2025 features two tracks – accessibility and leadership – with three sessions available in each.
  • Advanced Tracks: Advanced Tracks are offered June 24, prior to the official start of convention. They’re in a blended six-hour format, which requires two hours of asynchronous work prior to attending the four-hour, on-site lab. Advanced Track sessions are clinical in nature, featuring an asynchronous lecture followed by a hands-on lab and the opportunity to earn additional CEUs at an additional cost.
  • Forums: Forums are designed to stimulate discussion between researchers and clinicians. Presenters provide an overview of current evidence on a relevant topic and pose stimulating questions to the audience for a structured panel-audience discussion and opportunities for critical thinking.
  • Lectures: These in-depth presentations discuss a topic(s) relevant to athletic trainers that fall within the domains of athletic training. Lectures include a question-and-answer session.
  • Interactive Lectures: During an Interactive Lecture, the speaker incorporates engagement opportunities into their presentation including, but not limited to, videos, demonstrations, small group discussions and interactive polling. This allows attendees to engage with the material presented as well as one another.
  • Learning Labs: Learning Labs provide an opportunity for attendees to observe, think critically and apply newly acquired skills that fall within the domains of athletic training. They include both a lecture and hands-on learning that attendees can immediately implement.
  • Blended Learning Labs: Blended Learning Labs provide in-person attendees with an opportunity to complete the lecture portion of their education prior to convention and experience a two-hour lab on-site in Orlando. With an additional $15 fee, it’s another opportunity to earn 1 CEU per Blended Learning Lab in addition to the up to 20 CEUs that can be earned through the in-person and on-demand events. Preregistration required for this event is now closed. Prework must be completed to be admitted into the session.
  • Free Communications Program: Another way to learn during convention is through the NATA Research & Education Foundation Free Communications Program’s poster and oral presentations. Free Communications Program oral presentations allow for quick chunks of learning to happen with six-minute presentations. The Free Communications Program posters will be displayed in West Hall D along with the chance to chat with poster presenters.

COMPLETE YOUR EVALUATIONS

New this year! NATA 2025 in-person attendees can complete their evaluations at the end of each session on the NATA convention app. Completion of the evaluations is key to enhancing your learning, providing feedback to speakers and improving future programming. The email address you registered with will be needed to complete the evaluations.

EARNING CEUS ON-DEMAND AND STATEMENT OF CREDIT

In-person attendees can earn a maximum of 20 CEUs: 15 CEUs on-site and 5 CEUs from NATA 2025 On-Demand, which will feature selected recorded content from Orlando. If not all 15 CEUs are obtained on-site, more can be earned on-demand so the attendee gets the full 20 CEUs.

Registrants for the in-person convention will receive complimentary access to NATA 2025 On-Demand. Those who are unable to attend the NATA convention in Orlando can register for NATA 2025 On-Demand. NATA 2025 On-Demand registrants will be able to view sessions, complete assessments and earn up to 20 CEUs. NATA 2025 On-Demand will be available to in-person and on-demand-only attendees Aug. 1-Oct. 31.

An email to access your Statement of Credit will be sent to in-person attendees by the end of July. That Statement of Credit will reflect that you can report up to 15 CEUs. An additional Statement of Credit will be issued for the session completed on-demand. It will be up to attendees to track the sessions they attended on-site and their corresponding contact hours, along with the sessions they complete on-demand, and to report their CEUs earned during the educational programming.

If you have a question about your Statement of Credit, email ki@nata.org.
