In January, the NATA Board of Directors approved a proposal to restructure and expand the NATA College/University Athletic Trainers’ Committee (CUATC) into the Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine (ICSM) to address the varying needs of athletic trainers working in this diverse setting.

Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Athletic Training

The Journal of Athletic Training (JAT) Editor-in-Chief (EIC) position becomes available in June 2018. The term of appointment is two years and can be renewed twice, with agreement between the EIC and NATA, for a total of six years of service. The term begins in June 2018. However, the candidate must be able to begin work with the current JAT EIC and Journal Committee (JC) starting in June 2017.

The March NATA News features a skin injury infographic handout based on the new NATA position statement “Management of Acute Skin Trauma.” The handout details the proper way to clean and dress a wound and provides tips for after care and follow-up.

In the March NATA News, we celebrated our hundreds of volunteers in honor of National Volunteer Month this April.
