Honoring the 2025 National Award Recipients

During the NATA Hall of Fame Induction and National Awards Ceremony June 25 in Orlando, NATA recognized its 2025 national award recipients. As the winners walked the stage with their plaques, they were greeted with handshakes and hugs from NATA President A.J. Duffy III, MS, ATC, PT, and standing ovations from the crowd. Learn more about the 2025 national award recipients on p. 20 of the May/June NATA News. The national award nomination cycle is open through Sept.

The 75th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo, June 25-28 in New Orleans, is approaching – and registration is now open. As we get ready for convention, NATA Now is looking back at convention history as well as what to know about NATA 2024.

New Orleans is a city rich in history, with attractions for every interest. NATA Now connected with Shone Gipson, MEd, ATC, PES, head athletic trainer for the New Orleans Saints, to get his take on five things to do in  The Big Easy during your convention down time.

Inside the Collegiate Division I Setting

Introduced in the April NATA News, this NATA Now article series provides insight into the different athletic training settings as well as information athletic training students and interested ATs need to know. The series also provides tips from members on how to succeed in each setting.
 

Brad Floy, PhD, LAT, ATC, athletic trainer at the University of Iowa, has been in the collegiate setting for 21 years. Floy said he has worked in college athletics throughout his athletic training career.

This year, the National Athletic Training Month theme, “From Head to Toe,” highlights the whole-body, whole-person care ATs provide their patients. Throughout March, NATA Now is highlighting members from across the settings.
