Staff Availability

NATA staff will be available to answer inquiries about the NATA Professional Development Center and anything related to this reporting year during normal business hours every weekday during December except Dec. 22 and Dec. 25. The final day staff will be in the office and available to answer inquiries is Dec. 29. The NATA Professional Development Center is available 24/7.

Q: HOW DO I FIND MY Statements of Credit/Certificates? 

A: Access your Statements of Credit and print your certificates using the links below:

 

Q: HOW DO I FIND MY CEUs FOR ON-DEMAND WEBINARS/COURSES LOCATED IN THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER?

A: You can find CEUs for these events by logging in to your profile on the NATA Professional Development Center. A complete list of your completed course is available under the “Completed Courses” tab.

 

Q. HOW DO I REPORT MY CEUS FOR THIS REPORTING PERIOD?

A: Your CEUs are reported through the Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC). Visit www.bocatc.org to report your CEUs.

 

Q. WHERE DO I FIND THE NAME OF THE PROVIDER OR THE PROVIDER NUMBER?

A: You can find this information in the bottom paragraph of the Statement of Credit that shows your CEUs. The provider number is next to the BOC AP#, or the information can be found on our Professional Development Center Overview page.

Q: HOW DO I LOG INTO THE NATA PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER?

A: Members:

  1. Log in to www.nata.org.
  2. Click on the blue “PDC” button on the dashboard page.
  3. To view courses to purchase, visit the course catalog.

Nonmembers:

  1. Go to www.nata.org
  2. Click on “Careers & Education”
  3. Choose Professional Development Center
  4. Scroll down and click “log in with my NATA account” button to create account.
  5. To view courses to purchase, visit the course catalog.

 

Q: I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH A COURSE VIDEO. CAN YOU HELP ME?

A: In the NATA Professional Development Center, you must complete the course sections in sequential order to unlock the next section’s box. Successful completion of each step will change the box color from blue to green. All components in each box must be green to proceed.

Q: WHICH WEB BROWSER WILL GIVE ME OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE?

A: Our PDC website is compatible with most web browsers. We recommend using the most up-to-date versions of the following browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Internet Explorer 11+
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari

We do not support Internet Explorer 9 and lower versions.

 

Q: I CAN’T SEE COURSES AND/OR CEU CREDITS.

A: Contact NATA for assistance.

 

Q: IF I PURCHASE COURSES BEFORE DEC. 31, 2023, AND HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED MY REQUIRED 50 CEUS FOR THE REPORTING PERIOD, WILL THOSE CEUS CARRY OVER TO THE FOLLOWING REPORTING PERIOD OR DO THEY AUTOMATICALLY EXPIRE DEC. 31?

A: Purchased courses will be in your incomplete courses section and will expire 12 months from the date of purchase unless there is a need to retire a course. In that case, we will offer a refund in the form of your original payment. Unused CEU credits that you received as a result of renewing your 2023 NATA membership will expire Dec. 31, 2023.

 

Q: HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO USE THE FREE CE CREDITS ISSUED TO ME BY NATA WHEN I RENEWED MY MEMBERSHIP?

A: You have until midnight CST Dec. 31, 2023, to utilize any unused CE credits issued for your 2023 NATA membership renewal. 

 

Q: I PURCHASED AN ONLINE COURSE I DON’T WANT. HOW CAN I REQUEST A REFUND?

A: Go to your Order History in the Professional Development Center and choose the order number for the return. Select “create return” and follow the provided steps.

 

Becoming an Athletic Trainer

Q: DO I NEED A SPECIFIC UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE TO BECOME AN AT?

A: You must have a degree in athletic training from an accredited program. The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education is the best resource to find accredited programs. For exam requirements, visit the Board of Certification, Inc.
