Pin Collectors Meet at NATA 2025

An NATA 75th anniversary special event, hosted by the NATA Historical Commission,  brought together pin collecting enthusiasts during the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo June 24-27 in Orlando. 

More than 30 athletic trainers and athletic training students attended the NATA Pin Collectors' Meet and Greet, organized by Historical Commission member Jeff Stone, MEd, LAT, ATC, an NATA Hall of Fame Class of 2012 member, to exchange and trade pins and patches.

Call for New ATEJ Editorial Board Members

The Athletic Training Education Journal (ATEJ) is seeking applications from qualified individuals to serve on the Editorial Board and begin service in fall 2021. The term of appointment is three years and may be renewed with agreement from the Editor-in-Chief and the Senior Editorial Leadership Team.

Clinical Bottom Line: Evaluating Spondylolysis

It has been estimated that 63 percent of individuals participating in sports will suffer a spondylolysis and 6 to 8 percent of individuals suffering low back pain (LBP) are diagnosed with a spondylolithesis.1 Additionally, there are few preclinical indications unique to spondylosis.1,2 This leads many authors to believe the condition is often underdiagnosed.1

General Session 2021 Recap

Kicking off the 2021 NATA Virtual Clinical Symposia & AT Expo, for the first time in recent convention history, was the General Session and Changing of the Guard ceremony. Before passing the baton to NATA’s 15th president, Kathy Dieringer, EdD, LAT, ATC, for her first association address, NATA Past President Tory Lindley, MA, ATC, reflected on the challenges and successes of the past year.
