NATA Names Mollie Pillman as Executive Director

NATA announced that Mollie Pillman, MS, MBA, CAE, will begin her role as executive director Sept. 2. Pillman was selected following a highly competitive national search led by executive search firm Vetted Solutions.

NATA Introduces New Collegiate Council

In January, the NATA Board of Directors approved a proposal to restructure and expand the NATA College/University Athletic Trainers’ Committee (CUATC) into the Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine (ICSM) to address the varying needs of athletic trainers working in this diverse setting.

Journal Seeks New Editor in Chief

Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Athletic Training

The Journal of Athletic Training (JAT) Editor-in-Chief (EIC) position becomes available in June 2018. The term of appointment is two years and can be renewed twice, with agreement between the EIC and NATA, for a total of six years of service. The term begins in June 2018. However, the candidate must be able to begin work with the current JAT EIC and Journal Committee (JC) starting in June 2017.

ATs Care Program Launching Soon

Slated to officially launch in the spring of this year, the much anticipated ATs Care program is taking off! 

The ATs Care Program is designed to aid athletic trainers and/or athletic training students in the aftermath of a critical incident; such as a death occurring to an athlete or colleague, or other disturbing situation that affects the AT. ATs Care encourages ATs to seek initial peer-support through state or regional AT CISM teams when available.
