Honoring the 2025 National Award Recipients

During the NATA Hall of Fame Induction and National Awards Ceremony June 25 in Orlando, NATA recognized its 2025 national award recipients. As the winners walked the stage with their plaques, they were greeted with handshakes and hugs from NATA President A.J. Duffy III, MS, ATC, PT, and standing ovations from the crowd. Learn more about the 2025 national award recipients on p. 20 of the May/June NATA News. The national award nomination cycle is open through Sept.

There are several factors to consider when determining which athletic training program is the right fit for you. It's important to investigate potential programs and weigh how each does or doesn't meet your personal needs. While cost is an important factor, it’s not the only one. Class size, curriculum design, faculty involvement, campus life and program outcomes are just a few other considerations to keep in mind when making your decision.

This Women’s History Month, we’d like to celebrate all #ATwomen making a difference in the profession and their patients’ lives, and highlight four women in particular who have owned their impact – the four women currently serving on the NATA Board of Directors.

NATM: Advocacy Through Community Involvement

Between the summers of 2005 and 2006, seven farmers died in eastern North Carolina due to heat stroke. The majority of farmers in North Carolina are undocumented citizens from Latin-American countries with limited access to health care, according to Practicing Anthropology.

Affected by the amount of labor-related deaths occurring in the area, Kevin King, AT, LAT, decided to spring into action.

I have been an athletic trainer in the high school setting for more than 20 years. I hope my athletes remember me after they graduate as someone they could trust and turn to when they had a problem, whether it was athletic related or not.
