Secondary School Resources

September 23, 2014 by JordanG

The October NATA News is online now, and it's all about how to succeed in the secondary school setting. We worked with the NATA Secondary School Athletic Trainers' Committee to develop content designed to help high school and middle school ATs with common issues such as concussion management, developing policies and procedures, tricky ethical situations and more. In addition to their tips, make sure to check out this important handout listing all of the NATA resources relevant to secondary school ATs.

Some of the articles in the October magazine reference the creation of specific documents (return-to-play form, concussion management flow chart, policy and procedures manual, etc.), so the SSATC decided to contribute sample versions of these documents so other ATs wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel. We've provided them for free download in this blog post, so keep reading for more! We hope these documents and the articles in the NATA News prove useful to secondary school ATs across the country. Don't hesitate to contact the SSATC if you need additional support navigating a challenge in that job setting; they are always happy to help.
