Keeping up with continuing education shouldn’t feel like another job. Through a new collaboration between the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer and NATA, CE activities completed through NATA will now be automatically transferred into each AT’s BOC profile using a new system called Sync-CE.
In practice, that means no more logging in to manually enter CE from NATA programs. Once an offering is completed, it will appear directly in the reporting system. ATs remain responsible for reviewing their CE records for accuracy and ensuring all requirements are complete before finalizing and submitting their reporting.
This shift reflects a broader effort to modernize the certification experience. For many ATs, tracking CE has long been a necessary but time-consuming part of maintaining credentials. By removing manual entry, the new system helps minimize administrative work while improving the accuracy of records.
The rollout of Sync-CE marks an important milestone in the ongoing partnership between BOC and NATA. Both organizations share a commitment to supporting athletic trainers not just in maintaining certification, but in advancing their professional journey in ways that are efficient, accessible and aligned with the realities of practice.
