Skin Disease

Skin Disease

At any given time, one out of every three people in the United States suffers from a skin disease.

According to a 2004 and 2006 study referenced in the NATA skin disease fact sheet, skin disease is one of the top 15 groups of medical conditions for which prevalence and health care spending grew the most between 1987-2000, exceeding those rate increases for diabetes and cancer. It is estimated that $37 billion dollars annually is spent in medical services and lost productivity in the United States alone.
