What is it?

The championship runs June 27, 2014 through August 27, 2014.

The Safe Sports Championship recognizes the NATA district with the highest percentage of Safe Sports School Awards received. The purpose of this contest is to not only demonstrate and increase the value of the athletic training profession, but also initiate discussion of youth athlete safety.

To apply simply verify that your school provides the necessary sports safety requirements. If your school meets all of the requirements listed by NATA’s Secondary School Athletic Trainers’ Committee, it will be awarded the 2nd team award. If it meets all of the required and recommended actions, your school will be awarded the 1st team award. The district with the highest percentage of SSS Awards earned wins the contest.
