Abstract:

In module three clinicians will focus application of the non-dogmatic approach to medical therapeutic yoga through application of the 8 limbed practice, identification of burnout and HPA axis dysfunction, and the evidence for sound therapy in medical yoga. Additional resources in balanced living are provided in addition to work/life balance and contentment inventories for personal and professional use.

Ginger Garner MPT, ATC, is a licensed physical therapist, athletic trainer, and professional yoga therapist specializing in women’s health and chronic pain management. Identify the significance of chanting for psycho-emotional, spiritual, energetic, physical, and intellectual benefit. Differentiate between yoga, yoga therapy, and medical therapeutic yoga. Apply the 8 limbs of yoga to your professional vision to prevent practitioner burnout and improve stress management and life balance skill set. Recognize the signs and symptoms of adrenal burnout and important facets of differential diagnosis and intervention.
