Abstract
Leadership is necessary at every level of athletic training. For athletic training to remain a competitive and desirable profession, research-based leadership behaviors need to be identified and implemented. This webinar synthesizes leadership research in athletic training and identifies several leadership behaviors important to athletic training and athletic training education. Special attention will be given to the application and integration of leadership within the profession and its impact on clinical practice and professional development.

Matt has been an athletic trainer for more than 15 years in a variety of work settings. He is currently the director of clinical education at Bowling Green State University and is the author of “Leadership & Management in Athletic Training: An Integrated Approach,” published by Lippincott, Williams, & Wilkins.
