What’s a webinar?

As defined by PC Magazine, a webinar is a workshop or lecture delivered over the web. Webinars may be a one-way webcast, or there may be interaction between the audience and the presenters.

What is the fee to attend an NATA webinar?

Webinars are $15 for NATA members and $25 for nonmembers.

What is the fee to purchase an NATA Webinar recording (after the live event)?

Webinars are $15 for NATA members and $25 for nonmembers.

What if I’m unable to attend the scheduled live webinars?

You can watch the recording once it’s posted under Recorded Webinars. To obtain a CEU and report under Category A, you can purchase the associated Quiz at the Quiz Center

What is my time zone?

NATA webinars take place during the Central time zone (Dallas, Texas, USA). View the time zone converter.

How will I get confirmation that I attended the live webinar?

When the webinar is finished, you will receive an email with a link to an evaluation and your CEU certificate which can be submitted to the BOC under Category A. (You must attend the entire duration of the webinar to receive CEU credit.)

Can I cancel my webinar registration?

If you’re unable to attend a webinar, please cancel 48 hours prior to the event in order to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior will not provide a refund. To cancel 48 hours or more prior to an event, send an email to the Knowledge Initiatives Department.

How many CEU credits can I earn for watching the live webinar?

You can earn 1 CEU for watching a webinar. Your certificate will be emailed to you after the webinar. Webinars can be reported in Category A to the Board of Certification. (You must attend the entire duration of the webinar.)

What technology do I need for the live webinar?

  1. Computer speakers
  2. Recommended screen resolution: 1024 x 768
  3. Broadband connection (T1, DSL)
  4. Internet Browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari) The use of AOL® is not recommended.
  5. Cookies should be enabled in your web browser.

This is a test to make sure you have all the necessary components on your computer to view the web conference. If it detects that you don’t have the necessary software installed, it will guide you to download it.

What if I experience technical difficulties while logging into a webinar that’s about to start?

Visit the following link to ensure your computer is prepared for the webinar: https://admin.acrobat.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm This is a test to make sure you have all the necessary components on your computer to view the web conference. If it detects that you don’t have the necessary software installed, it will guide you to download it.

During a webinar, I’m experiencing problems or I can’t hear the presenter very well. What can I do?

NATA encourages you to test your computer and computer speakers a few hours before the webinar to make sure everything works as it should. Make sure the volume setting is turned up. NATA staff will do everything they can to eliminate technical difficulties within our control. Refunds will not be issued for technical issues unless they affect the entire participant group.
