Abstract:

This presentation will aim to provide clinical advice to optimize athletic hydration practices within most clinical athletic training settings. Those recommendations will be supported by the latest scientific evidence available.

Brandon McDermott Webinar Presenter

Brendon McDermott is an assistant professor and clinical coordinator at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He has extensive research experience in heat/hydration issues in sports, and has 8 years of clinical athletic training experience. He is also a member of the medical and science advisory board for the Korey Stringer Institute.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to: 1. facilitate adequate education for athletes so that they understand the how and why for hydration 2. critically analyze hydration research following the presentation and 3. approach hydration issues with confidence following this presentation.
