NATA Lifesaver Recognition Program

Each year NATA members are involved in saving the lives of athletes, officials, spectators, coworkers and the general public. The NATA recognizes and applauds these heroic efforts through its Lifesaver Recognition Program.

About the Program

The NATA Lifesaver Recognition program is open to any NATA member who is directly involved with a lifesaving event*. A lifesaving event is defined as a situation in which the victim(s) would have or most likely would have died had the athletic trainer not intervened by providing skilled medical care and assistance.

John A. Mayes Scholarship

  1. Have been accepted into an entry- level Master’s level athletic training degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) or into a Doctoral level athletic training and/or athletic training degree program

2015 NATA Athletic Training Educators’ Conference
Elevating Athletic Training Education
Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas

A call for abstracts and programming is being issued for the tenth Athletic Training Educators’ Conference to be held in early 2015.  The conference theme is “Elevating Athletic Training Education" and will feature large plenary presentations, interactive breakout sessions, focused model practice presentations, peer-to-peer discussions and poster presentations.
