There is not a more pertinent issue to athletic training practice than outcomes assessment.  There is not a more common injury we treat in our practice than the lateral ankle sprain (LAS).  The purpose of this webinar is to address the current status of outcome assessment following LAS.  The content will include: a brief overview of outcomes assessment, a LAS epidemiology review, an update on the current status of LAS outcomes, a discussion regarding the challenges athletic trainers face when addressing LAS outcomes as well suggestions for meeting those challenges.

Clinical Objectives:

  1. Understand the current status of outcomes following lateral ankle sprains.
  2. Identify the challenges facing athletic trainers in routine and standardized outcomes assessment following LAS
  3. Identify opportunities for addressing/improving our LAS outcome assessment
