DALLAS, June 16, 2015 – The National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) will formally welcomed two new board members at its 66th annual convention at the America’s Center in St. Louis, June 22-27, 2015. Mark Coberley, MS, ATC, LAT, succeeds NATA’s outgoing District Five Director Eric McDonnell, MEd, ATC, LAT , and AJ Duffy, III, MS, ATC, PT, will replace District Two Director Michael Goldenberg, MS, ATC.

Dallas, May 20, 2015 – New research shows that throwing velocity improves following a sport-specific training regimen targeting the muscular endurance and power characteristics of the muscles of the body’s mid-section. “ Sport-Specific Training Targeting the Proximal Segment and Throwing Velocity in Collegiate Throwing Athletes ” will appear in the June Journal of Athletic Training, NATA’s scientific publication.

DALLAS, TEXAS, March 18, 2015 – After months of working with members of Congress, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) announces the introduction of the Sports Medicine Licensure Clarity Act, which protects athletic trainers and other sports medicine professionals who travel to other states with an athletic team to provide care for that team.
