September 2, 2014 by JordanG

Congratulations to District Three for winning the Safe Sports Championship! A total of 21 schools in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association were named Safe Sports Schools during the contest period, which made them the clear champions.

Nearly 60 schools obtained the Safe Sports School recognition during the contest, and every district had at least one school win the award. More than 264 schools across the country have been recognized as Safe Sports Schools since the award's inception in March 2013.

The contest may be over, but you can still apply for the award. Take this quick 9-question quiz to see if your school is an ideal applicant. Enter your school for the safe sports school award. We're excited to see some schools that were recognized as second team are now re-applying for the first team designation after making the necessary additions to their AT programs!
