Myers-Briggs Workshop

Judy Pulice, CAE, is NATA’s staff liaison for the Ethics, Governmental Affairs, and International Councils. She’s also a Certified Practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®).

MBTI offers individuals insight into their own personality type as well as that of others, and demonstrates how differences in type can cause conflict in the workplace but more importantly can bring added value and dimension to any group effort. As they say, it takes a village!

To learn more about MBTI, take one of Judy’s workshops at the NATA Annual Meeting and Symposium.

Judy, an ESFJ (Extravert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging) says “MBTI will open your eyes to why others behave the way they do, and how you can avoid conflicts by working with other types instead of fighting them. It’s about how we gather and process information, make decisions, and execute those decisions. It’s not about whether you’re a good person or a bad one, whether you’re intelligent or not.”

MBTI was chosen as a requirement in StarTRACKS leadership development program because it helps leaders to bring cohesion to any group. “We are who we are,” says Judy, “and we’re the same type our whole life long. No one type is ‘wrong’ or ‘wrong-headed.’ We’re just different. The sooner we understand that and try to factor that into our thinking, the better leaders we will be.”
