Knowledge Initiatives Associate

This position will assist with several professional development initiatives that fall under the Knowledge Initiatives Department including certificates, workshops, conferences and seminars. He or she will assist with the logistics and coordination of existing events, as well as assist with research and coordination needed to develop new events.

The ideal candidate must have at least two years of experience in the coordination and administration of projects, training, events and/or meetings. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree related to training, project management, or a business-related major. The ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously, stay organized, and manage details are vital. Candidates should also be proficient with Microsoft Office and be customer service oriented. This position does include approximately 5% company-paid travel.

General Responsibilities:

 

  1. Support KI Director with administrative and project coordination needs for Professional Development Committee.
  2. Assist with various workshops and educational events including:

     

    •  speaker coordination and assistance
    •  vendor communications
    •  working with appropriate internal departments (i.e. Marketing, Accounting, IT and Meetings) on all aspects of the events (including promotion, budgeting, technology needs and logistics)
    •  assembling materials
    •  attendee notifications and monitoring
    •  submitting applications for continuing education approval
    •  executing and compiling assessments and evaluations
  3. Research and benchmark other training programs or education initiatives as assigned.
  4. Assist with the tracking, monitoring and reporting of all educational initiatives to assure that they are in compliance with the certifying body.
  5. Assist with building metrics and reporting on all professional development initiatives.
  6. Assist with loading and tracking content in the Learning Management System.
  7. Assist at educational events as needed.
  8. Responsible for list pulls for student surveys.
  9. Backup the Online Learning Specialist as needed to host webinars.
  10. Field inquiries on all areas that fall under the knowledge initiatives department as needed.
  11. Maintain and update process books on all assigned projects.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
