NATA Hall of Fame Inductee for 2007
Julie Max, MEd, ATC has worked as a certified athletic trainer at California State University Fullerton since 1979 and has served as the head athletic trainer since 1990. Julie has been the driving force behind the development of an Athletic Training Education Program that has received national acclaim. An active member of the NATA, Julie was the District 8 director from 1990-1996. In 2000, she was elected as the first woman President of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and served two terms until 2004. In 1997, Julie was honored with the NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award, which recognizes outstanding service to the athletic training profession at the state and district level. Julie has received numerous recognition awards from the university, state and national organizations.
