NATA Hall of Fame Inductee for 2007
Sam Booth, PhD, ATC has charted a rewarding career in athletic training. She was the head women’s athletic trainer at the University of Kansas, assistant athletic trainer at West Virginia University, 11 years as head athletic trainer at Minnesota State University Moorhead, and oversaw MeritCare Health System’s Sports Medicine program for 6 years. She was largely responsible for creating a model athletic training program while at MSUM. Sam has been active in the profession within the Minnesota Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She was selected as Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer in 2002 by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, inducted into the Minnesota Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame in 2003, received the Golden Pinnacle Award by the GLATA in 2005, inducted into the Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006. Booth received a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Dakota, May 2000.
