NATA Hall of Fame Inductee for 2007
Stephen Earl Bair, MEd, ATC (BS Western Michigan University, MEd University of Arizona) has had a distinguished career in Athletic Training. He spent 16 years in intercollegiate athletics at Temple University and continues with over 20 years in the secondary school setting at Overbrook Senior High School, Pine Hill, NJ. Bair has served as President of the BOC Inc., Vice President of the NATA Board of Directors and is currently on the NATA Foundation Board. He has served as Treasurer of the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey and is currently involved with legislative activity within his home state.
Steve has been recognized by the EATA (Cramer and MBM Awards), ATSNJ (Hall of Fame and Distinguished Service Awards) and the New Jersey Secondary School Coaches Association (Hall of Fame). Currently his pet projects are managing the Jersey Athletic Trainers Political Action Committee, developing endowments within the Foundation, governance reform within NATA, and serving as Treasurer of the Pine Hill Education Association and its Philanthropic Fund.
Steve is considered a visionary and leader by his peers and continues to challenge his colleagues by championing accreditation, credentialing, and foundation independence. He lives happily alone surrounded by books and his music collection with his loyal canine companion.
