NATA Hall of Fame Inductee for 2000

 

Kent Scriber

 

Dr. Kent Scriber is a Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences at Ithaca College. Since receiving his bachelor's degree from Ithaca College in 1972, he has served as Supervisor of Athletic Training at his alma mater, taught, directed, and advised within the College's Athletic Training Education Program. He earned his doctorate from Syracuse University and has been active professionally at the state, regional, and national levels. Dr. Scriber is a past EATA president and NYSATA Sheehan Award, the EATA's Cramer Award, and was the recipient of a 1994 NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Award. He is a member of the Ithaca College Sports Hall of Fame and in addition to serving Ithaca College athletes, Kent has worked with athletes at the international level at the World University Games, Paralympic Games, World Basketball Challenge, Canada Cup, and Epson Ivy Bowl.
