NATA Hall of Fame Inductee for 1999
Kent P. Falb earned his undergraduate degree and physical therapy certificate from the University of Iowa before devoting his career to the care of those involved in physical activity. He has served as an assistant athletic trainer for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, for the University of Iowa and for the Minnesota Vikings professional football team. He served briefly as head athletic trainer at Boston College before joining the athletic training staff of the NFL’s Detroit Lions, where he has been head athletic trainer since 1967. Falb is an active member of the NATA District Four, where he was inducted into the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame. In addition, he has been honored as a Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer and, along with his assistant athletic trainers, as the NFL Athletic Training Staff of the Year. He has served as NATA president for two consecutive terms, beginning in 1996.
