NATA Hall of Fame Inductee for 1999
Majorie J. Albohm received her BS degree from Valparaiso University and her MS degree from Indiana State University. She was one of the first women certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association. She was the first women’s athletic trainer at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana where she served for ten years. Marje served on the medical staff for the 1980 Winter Olympic Games and Chief Athletic Trainer at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. She served as President of the National Athletic Trainers' Association Research and Education Foundation, and Chairperson of the NATA Reimbursement Advisory Group. She received the NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Training Award in 1995 and the prestigious Tim Kerin Award for Excellence in Athletic Training in 1997. Marje serves as Director of Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Research for Orthopaedics Indianapolis at The Center for Hip and Knee Surgery, Mooresville, Indiana.
