Abstract:
Ethical issues have long plagued the allied health care professions including athletic training. Increasing ethical awareness and providing information and resources to help athletic trainers make better decisions in the face of expanding ethical dilemmas is imperative. Ethical issues impact all aspects of the profession.
Objectives:
- To introduce an ethics across the curriculum model for athletic training education
- To demonstrate and support with literature that ethics education is most effective when it transcends all aspects of the curriculum
- To provide a framework for integration for athletic training education with practical design, implementation, and activity strategies
