Editorial Intern

The editorial intern will have the ability to learn how print and digital communication channels work together as a member benefit in a non-profit association. Our interns receive hands on experience, and our environment will allow them to utilize the knowledge earned from school to develop skills and receive exposure to their respective field.
 

General Responsibilities:

  • Write/edit articles for our monthly membership magazine, the NATA News
  • On-site reporting/writing during our 2013 convention in Las Vegas
  • Provide content when needed for our digital communication channels: website, e-blast, social media
  • Support communications team in other activities as needed

 

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a journalism major working toward a bachelors degree and will be at the junior level or higher. This paid internship calls for an average of 20 hours a week, and we will work with our intern's school schedule to find days/times that work best for both parties. A minimum of an overall 2.8 GPA is needed in order to be considered. Candidates must be proficient in AP Style. Experience with Adobe Creative suite, video, and photography is a plus.
