One of the early authorities in the athletic training profession, Eddie Wojecki was active in the field for more than 50 years. He served as athletic trainer at a number of high schools and colleges. His longest stint as head athletic trainer was at Rice University where he started in 1945 and served until his retirement. An author of several magazine articles on athletic training techniques, Wojecki was the head athletic trainer for the 1952 U.S. Olympic Team in Helsinki. Wojecki was inducted into the NATA Hall of Fame in 1965 and is now deceased.
