Kent Falb
1996 - 2000

 

Kent P. Falb earned his undergraduate degree and physical therapy certificate from the University of Iowa before devoting his career to the care of those involved in physical activity. He served as an assistant athletic trainer for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, for the University of Iowa and for the Minnesota Vikings professional football team. He served briefly as head athletic trainer at Boston College before joining the athletic training staff of the NFL’s Detroit Lions, where he served as athletic trainer until his retirement in 2000. Falb was an active member of NATA District Four, where he was inducted into the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame. In addition, he has been honored as a Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer and, along with his assistant athletic trainers, as the NFL Athletic Training Staff of the Year. Kent was inducted into the NATA Hall of Fame in 1999. He served as NATA president for two consecutive terms, beginning in 1996.
