Web Developer

We are seeking a web developer with 1-4 years of experience to play a key role in enhancing and maintaining our web applications. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field. Preferred candidates will have had exposure to customizing and extending content management systems. Experience with Drupal or Wordpress in particular is a plus. This position is well-suited to someone who enjoys learning and using a wide variety of technologies and systems instead of being confined to one product.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain web applications, both individually and as part of a small development team.
• Enhance integration between internal sites, customer-facing sites, and third-party system.
• Port existing functionality to new platforms.
• Refactor and optimize code as necessary for performance and ease of maintenance.

Required skills/experience:

• Experience with web software development life-cycle: requirements, design, code, test, launch, and maintenance.
• Experience with design and coding PHP applications.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Working knowledge of XML and SQL.
• Some knowledge of web services.
